LAGOS

The Historical town of Lagos is a vibrant and beautiful town set amongst the 16th century city wall and cobbled streets. You can join the locals amongst the hustle and bustle at the local Fish Market located on the Avenida or relax at one of the many outdoor cafes and restaurants.

Lagos hosts many of the Algarves finest beaches, these include:

MEIA PRAIA: This is the largest and finest beach within close proximity to the town. It extends over 4km of beautiful white sand and has several fantastic beach bars serving great food and fresh fish daily. This makes it the most perfect choice for sunbathing and relaxing on its golden white sand. A huge array of water sports can also be found ranging from Pedalos to paragliding?

PRAIA DA BATATA: This is the towns local beach to Lagos town centre and can be accessed to the side of the magnificant Fort. The beach is relatively small but very sheltered and is divided into smaller coves.

PORTO DE MÓS: This beach is situated on the outskirts of Lagos and is sheltered by multi coloured cliffs. It is a lovely sandy beach and has 2 great restaurants over looking the beach.

PRAIA DO CAMILO: Such a wonderful beach with breathtaking views. To access the beach there are numerous steps to descend, but you'll need to be fairly fit to tackle them on the up. It is definately worth the effort as you will not be disappointed. You will also find a fabulous newly modernised restaurant at the top of the cliffs specialising in fresh fish and sea food to start or end your perfect day.
